Hekataion is a duo that comes out of New York's death metal scene and this is a review of the debut EP.Sacrifice At The Crossroads is five tracks of heavy old school death metal their are some black metal elements used but not enough to catergorize them as a black death metal band.Laldabaoth handles the guitars that are played with a mix of heavy,mid paced guitar patterns.does speed to a much fast pace throughout a few of the songs to give the listener a nice mix of extrememly fast and heavy mid paced guitar passages.Laldabaoth also handles the vocals which are old school heavy death metal growls and some gruff scream/growls are also used in a few of the songs.Nachtigal handles the drums that are a mix of fast paced crazed drum passages and some heavier,mid paced thunderous drums.Sacrifice At The Crossroads is a great debut of death metal that is intense and powerful in their delievery defintly worth a listen if this is your style of metal.
