Old Evil--Archaic Rites demo CS.and digital{Independent}

Old Evil are a duo who come out of Australia's black metal scene and this is a review of their debut demo.Archaic Rites containes four tracks of  old school black metal that is played with a mix of fast and more controlled mid paced passages.The guitars are performed with some fast whirlwind guitars that are performed with intensity.The guitarist does slow to a more controlled mid paced with some well played solo's and patterns added in throughout the songs.The drums are are done in same vein as the guitars but are not all that bad with some intense fast drums that are powerful.And their are some slower more mid paced drums throughout the songs for a nice mix.The vocals are grim gruff screams and growls that fit this  band nicely.Archaic Rites  is a good demo of  raw black metal that does add some thrashy  influences into the sound.
